No audio with 14” JBL

Hi all!

I’m having an issue where the audio will randomly stop working in my platinum regardless of audio source. No fake engine noise either.

HU also fails to display volume level, which makes me think this might be an issue with the Head unit or a bad connection?

I’ve tried doing the settings reset and turning the truck on and off again and disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes and reapplying by power… all to no avail.

at the bottom I’ve included a link to a FB post about it… no it’s not because the mic was activated while recording.

Has anyone seen this before or have any recommendations or possible sources of the issue? I have an appointment to take the truck in to get looked at, but if it’s a simple fix I can do, I would rather do it instead of waiting hours at the dealership.

 

Take it back and get a new hu and call it a day.
