Is this normal? Could this be the source of excessive wind noise? The weatherstripping doesn’t even touch the window in multiple places much or or less fit tightly. There’s a noticeable 1/16”+ gap, surely catching air resistance going down the highway.

Terrible QC. Just trying to determine if mine is unique or if this is common.

I don’t think mine (‘23) is that wide, but there’s a definite gap where the ends don’t meet.

Pretty much all of the ones that I've seen (Including my '24) have the gap on the rear window trim in the first picture where the pieces come together. Kinda sloppy, but pretty normal occurrence.

My ‘24 has similar gap plus I’ll-fitting up the back edge. I had them replaced under warranty and they are no better.

Curious what the dealers’ response was when the new weatherstripping fit no better?

I picked it up after hours… realizing it wasn’t going to get better, and my friend’s 2023 was similar… and all 2024’s on the lot were similar, I had bigger fish to fry….

they are all the same or close to the same guys, its an area toyota needs to make look better as the function is ok, but cosmetics doesnt look the best.

I bet in the mid-model refresh coming soon, its changed and perhaps we can get the newer parts.

Mines not that bad and doest stick up but there is a gap.
