My paint on my Black 2005 Sequoia still looks amazing and it has gone through the brushes of death every week for 303,000.

Once or twice a year I have it clay bared, polished, waxed and buffed by the same detail shop. Thats it. Plan to do the same with MY22 Tundra.

My trucks Black it gets hand washed . Also ceramic coated that alone helps tremendously. I have not used a auto wash car system my entire life. In general a lot automotive enthusiast shy away from automated systems.

I use the spray bay at coin operated washes. Always have since 91 or so when I bought my first car. Washing them at home just takes too long for my liking.

I took my truck through a car wash one time......the brushes folded my front license plate in half. If you have a touchless car wash in your area, it's a better option than the ones with the brushes.....aka The Scratch - O - Matic. I have followed Larry Kosillas method for washing our vehicles ever since. It's somewhat involved, but I'm sure you could tailor it to your situation. The link is below
