Truck set up for almost 2 years due to unforeseen circumstances. Finally got er running again minus my catalytic converter. Seems to be running well besides a fairly high-pitched rattle (like a penny in a dryer) for about 60 seconds after startup and during any acceleration. It will not happen during idle, except after cold start.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, gone about broke trying to get her running n legal again.

    Thanks,
    Shawn N.

That is normally a sticky timing chain tensioner. You can remove the acc drive belt and start up to confirm it is the engine and not the acc. You might get lucky by pouring a quart of ATF into the oil fill. Then drive it for a few hundred miles. The detergents in the ATF will help dissolve varnish. After a few hundred miles, give her an oil change. Repeat might be req. or it might not even help, but in many cases it will. Cheap to try. If no luck, don't worry too much though, many are ticking like that. Also use 5w-30 oil to help quiet it. 0w-20 is only for good gas mileage not good lubrication.

Where does the noise come from? Engine bay? Under the truck? Sounds like your Cats got jacked, so could be an exhaust shield rattle if coming from underneath.

From the top, it sounds like it's coming from the bottom, from the bottom it sounds like from the from the top. I know it's more prominent on the passenger side. I took a clip of it happening this morning, but it won't let me post the video, even though it's under the file size requirement. I guess because it's mp4 and that was not listed on the formats. And pouring half a quart of transfluid is not going to cause any issue? I'm doing in oil filter change today. When I got the trunk back. The oil is actually on the high-end, but it looks brand new but can't imagine the filter is doing that good.
    KNABORES good guess

ATF is a great way to help clean up a varnished engine, won't hurt a thing. Even a little diesel fuel can help too.

Yeah, how comfortable do you have to be to take the time to weld a pipe back after stealing the converter? I'll ask if I find em.
I'm gonna try the ATF trick and get back with yall on the results, any specific type of atf?

You're saying the person that stole the Cat welded the pipe in? I'm skeptical. Anyways, your missing an O2 sensor there as well. Check the heat shield exhaust plates on the exhaust system and make sure none are loose. It's a free diagnostic activity.

KNABORES Yeah That is what I was implying, but I can't say that for certain, My exd Deboe'd my house for about a year. And that's how it was when I got it back.
Back to the problem rattle, I did assume it was exhaust to begin with. I've almost completely ruled that out at this point, short of it being some weird air expansion sound

Tundras have double wall exhaust pipes at the cats. Could be rattling inside the welded pipe since they just welded a piece in between.
