I went and shot some client's cars today along Highway 1, and decided to test my camera settings on my truck. How'd I do?

I’m no photographer, but I’d say mildly overexposed. Composition is decent. Color saturation is good. Looks like a truck.

whats up with the single chrome lug nut?

also, remember everyone is looking through who knows what kind of monitor with what settings, but to me it looks kinda overexposed

Thanks for the feedback. I did bump the exposure to compensate for the severe shadows, when I probably should have just shot bracketed and merged everything.

Yeah, locking lug nut. Stupid dealer add-on that I haven't taken off yet, as I am just planning to do wheels, tires, and lift within a few weeks.

Depending on the equipment your shooting with HDR could help

The third one really catches the orange peel in the paint nice.

Better than I could do. Post some updates once you have the lift, wheels and tires done. These trucks look great stock but even better once you make it a little bigger

    Lots of stuff!
What sort of app are you using to tweak the photos? Are you shooting RAW images. I am using Nikon's NX Studio (free download) but Photoshop would be a good choice as well.

The truck looks nice in the shots. Perhaps planning the shoot at a different time of the day would give you different shadowing and make some of the body lines pop.

I love that silver lugnut! Sort of like having chrome front teeth! :)

Be mindful of the background. Power lines, fences can be unattractive.

I am no photographer unless snapping pics on a cell phone count so only have an amateur opinion. I think it looks good. The truck has great reflection at all the right angles that show its cared for. Couldn't find the complaint on the orange peel paint some one posted about. I will give it a well done vote.
