I believe Tejas is doing away with the inspection stickers required before getting the windshield registration sticker in 2025. This year will be the last inspection required for big red and the Ferd. Noice!

Just getting rid of safety inspections. City folk will still have to be smogged. I forsee more people running their tires bald & thinking its acceptable to slow down to 30 on the interstate when it rains. I'll need more bumper.

Yeah our state is dumb, should've kept the safety inspections and reduced emissions inspections from 25 years to 15 years IMHO

Obsolete plastic clips and whatnot for the truck? Those are just examples of the complexity.

After reading up on it this afternoon, the Creality K1 or better is needed for nylon or abs plastic.

For $119 to get the Ender-3 on sale isn't bad. The plastic filament is only $25-$30/roll for 2 kg worth. You can always make it for him until he’s old enough to use it himself.

Is that meant to be that vehicle's "regular" finish, polished to a mirror shine? I'm having a hard time believing that for a lot of reasons-- including that a bunch of guys with shirts to let us know that's what happening... implication that they're professionals and they do this type of work so well that they could get these results-- but no one wearing eye or ear pro--.

I mean, it's only metal dust, so probably no biggie, day after day..., amahright?

Suspension question. So I have a 3 inch lift spacer in my front end. What would happen if I used Bilstein 5100 4 to 6 inch shock absorbers with my 3in kit and 750lb springs?

    Impending catastrophic failure.

    Where'd you find 750lb coils?

Also you don't need heavier than 650lb coils. Unless you plan on getting full skids, sliders and heavy duty front bumper with a winch.

I assume by 4 to 6 inch Bilsteins you mean ones meant for a 4 to 6 inch drop bracket lift. Unless you have a drop bracket, don't bother. You would over extend your front end and snap something 100%.

    upload_2024-6-1_23-45-22.png
Even if you meant longer shocks for say a newer Tacoma, it's never a good idea to use spacers with those because of their design, those shocks are prone to snapping with spacers.

    upload_2024-6-1_23-45-39.png

Moral of the story is you ain't going to get a 4 inch suspension lift without either Solo lift spindles in combo with either lift coils, spacers, or adjustable coilovers/shocks.
    OR
A drop bracket lift. To my understanding they no longer make those for these trucks. But I could be wrong.

Otherwise you're just going to break your truck and some asshole like me is going to point and laugh and say I told you so. :D
Not to mention even with aftermarket UCAs, without either the lift spindles or drop bracket lift to correct your geometry, your shits going to be fucking impossible to get aligned. Then it'll tear itself apart.

Could have said it won't work the absorber will over extend.....

As to where I got 750 springs, from the PO. Came on the shit ass rough country preloaded absorbers the last owner had me and my coworker install for her. And they ride like shit as you know. Do you not pay attention to all the fucked up shit I tell you the last 3 owners have had done to this truck lol.

I had a feeling that was going to be the possible end result. Better to have asked them to have done it tho.

@VR6T if you really want a 4 inch lift, you could get a 4crawler 1 inch body lift like I bought to compliment my 3 inch suspension lift. But with that much lift, you will probably want to go bigger than 275/xx/1x... At least a 33 for sure. I only want to hit 4 inches to fit 35's personality.

Replace the bodymounts with airbags. 10" lift with the push of a button...& 10minutes waiting for the compressor to do its thing.
