Hybrid A/C Blowing Cold Air Even When ICE shut down

Any techs got any insight into how this system works? Wife and I had some wait time today so left it running in Park in the shade. 103 outside. Truck shut down for considerable lengths of time but A/C was still blowing cold air 0 RPM after several minutes of this, engine would start up again.

 

The compressor on the hybrid is electric, not belt driven. It runs off the hybrid battery. Engine starts to charge the battery.

 

Sunstealer is correct - same for every other Toyota hybrid except the 1st gen prius.

As FYI, this is the same and part of the Hybrid with electric driven AC compressor. I put a thermometer on mine and runs at a cool 38 degrees
