Anyone know if the rear bumper of a second gen or even 3rd will fit a 1st Gen

Anything can fit if you can cut and weld. Fit as in bolt on? No.

The 2nd gen frame is around 2" wider. I once measured mine to see if it would be possible to install a fairly inexpensive 2nd gen rear sway bar off fleabay and I couldn't make it work based on the measurements given by the manufacturer.

I saw a really niced boxed style one of the DC guys was flexing recently. It wasn't totally boxed, more polygonal, but it looked great and was slimmer, IIRC.

There's a pretty decent one from India I think (not China, surprisingly) that people are flexing about buying from scAmazon that's pretty nice too.

not doesn't look hard at all. 2 bent tubes and the 2 taillight protectors. I was gonna figure something along those lines as well for my truck.
