Third Brake Light Tinting

I recently tinted my third brake light. I did add vLEDs to improve brightness as well. Just wondering if people have had issues with police or getting state inspections, like in VA where I am. I was also told there could be issues with adding after market lights. I added sequential LED turn taillights. Thoughts or real life hassles, especially in VA?

 

I probably have the same taillight mod on my truck and additional performance mods and I have no issue passing inspections in NOVA. It will probably depend on your specific area within NOVA and the specific inspector. I can PM you a shop I use if you are concerned.

As far as vehicle mods and police interactions, I'm fairly certain some of those laws were changed last administration were you can't be pulled over for mods/fix it tickets unless you are conducting some other violation like speeding. I've not had any issues but maybe a LEO that works the area can clarify the second item for you.

 

TY. I'll take that shop name. I was told by a tint installer to avoid dealerships when getting inspections and just use smaller shops.

 

I have legal tint, some places darker tint can be an issue.
