What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Looks great! Can I ask where you got your bed. I keep damaging mine and when I buy out my lease next month, flat bed is about the only thing missing for me. But it seems limited to companies out west or mid-west, I am on the east coast.

No hyperflash at all on my 2020. Looks like a resistor was added as part of the design. I bought it off Amazon.

Getting ready for a trip out of town via the air, so knocking out some neighborhood clean up and doing truck stuff...





Hoping to do a fw more things on the to do list before camping, but since I get back and leave 5 days later for camping, I doubt I will get anything done.

 

It's more convenient than a bed with sides. You can load it from 3 directions vs. 1.

 

Less convenient for holding things like bark and soil though… without some panels of some sort.

 

But still able to do so...
Best would be like one of those landscape trailer beds that the 3 sides fold down, then you can get a dump feature too!

lol you can see my speed and rpms in the last picture. keeping in mind 11% higher speed with 37s and 5.29 gears.

 

I recently purchased a 2016 Sequoia with 88 thousand miles. PO didn't remember if the PCV was ever changed so I decided to do it as a little prevent maintenance. While I was taking out the old one it fell down into a crevice/valley behind what looks like the fan pulley. You can see in the pic where my grabber tool is going. I was able to fish it out but while doing it I grabbed a black plastic top of some sorts. Im not familiar with the 5.7 so I was wondering if you all know what this piece might be? Thanks much

 

I just told my Powdercoat guy “gloss black” haha. In the sun, they definitely look gloss, but in the shade they almost look like a satin black.

 

Finally got time for a proper spring detail today. Noticed a few brown ‘rust’ spots on the bed sides and tailgate so I did a little research and bought a bottle of iron-x. Amazing how much stuff that removed that I didn’t even know was there. Will definitely be part of my yearly routine from now on. Followed up with clay and Griot’s 3 in 1 ceramic and all is well again.

 

Got my deep cycle aux battery hooked up and my inverter installed and ready to use. 2000 watts pure sine wave. Enough to run some lights and heavy duty power tools

Later I'll run a permanent extension cord to a weatherproof outlet in the bed near the tailgate. But for now I just have to plug in under the seat.

Yep.

 

Did my first oil change since I bought it back in December. Swapped out the plastic housing for the metal filter housing.

 

Toyota only sells the complete hardware kit.

I vaguely recall a post where somebody found some MOOG bushings. I was pressed for time and just went with the kit since my local dealer had one.
