I had a 2012 Tundra SR5/TRD OffRoad CrewMax from late 2012 until March 2022 when I traded it in (huge mistake) on an Acura MDX Type S Advance. I should have kept the Tundra, as I had extensively upgraded it from stock in 2018-19.

I had been waiting on the new Tundra and did not like how it looked, so I went a different route. Fast forward 2 years and 2 months, and I had no issues with the Acura except it was TOO NICE to put gas cans in, haul stuff to the dump, etc. and TOO SMALL to help my youngest son move out.

I've been watching local/regional dealer inventory on used TRD Pro's and missed out on getting a 2019 Super White TRD Pro (56k miles, 1 owner local) and a 2021 Lunar Rock TRD Pro (13k miles, 1 owner out-of-state) and decided to go with a 2019 Super White TRD Pro with 22k miles, and aftermarket 20" Fuel wheels with 33" Maxxis Razr AT tires, and hard tonneau.

Picked the truck up on Friday, along with some OEM TRD Pro BBS wheels and OEM-sized tires.

This is my 3rd Toyota (87 22R-powered mini, 2012 CrewMax SR5) and 5th pickup truck (84 Ford Ranger, 2006 Honda Ridgeline).

My 2012 got a lot of upgrades in late 2018 into 2019: leather seat skins w/ heated inserts, stereo/amp/sub/speakers/dashcam, DAP tune, DDI 10in standard exhaust, Nfab side steps, Sequoia LED headlights, Coachbuilder 3/1 leveling kit, Bilstein 5160/6112 shocks, Method Grid wheels 20x10, 31" Cooper Discoverer AT3, Throttle Down Kustom front/rear bumper, Rigid LED fog lamps, RCI Aluminum Skid Plate powder coated white, TRD front/rear sway bars, aFE CAI/throttle-body spacer, aFE dry filter, SnugTop canopy, Bedslide and a TRD Sport Grill in Super White with a custom grill insert.

I don't plan on a lot of mods for this truck, just a low-profile aluminum tonneau cover, stereo head unit, console vault, seat heaters, anytime rear/front camera(s), driver-side A-pillar grab handle, and perhaps a light bar in the hood or front and maybe some A-pillar LED pods, and vinyl overlay in the bed side/tailgate TRD Pro/Tundra stampings.

Update: Finally got the lugs and center caps from the selling dealer. Only took 5 days......

I do like how it looks, drives, and feels. Acceleration and braking is better.

Welcome from San Diego... Very nice truck, congrats!

I've done a couple of the mods you listed on my '19 and pretty dang happy with the results if you're interested.

Just did the HU with front cam... (Not to mention screen mirroring for Netflix, YouTube, etc.)

    Welcome to the forum.
I feel you made a wise decision getting the 2019 over a new one.

I'll second the Bedrug, I have the Bedrug bed and tailgate mat with an Undercover Flex cover.

I don't know the brand of tonneau the prior owner installed, but it is way heavier than the Undercover ABS I had (and still hanging on my garage wall) for my 2012 SR5/Offroad CrewMax. I am seriously considering the Lomax Stance w/ tailgate and deck seals in black urethane to replace it with.

Things I miss from the 07-13 model years: cupholders in the center console, driver's grab handle, upper glovebox.

Things that will definitely get modified: auto-up/down for all windows, including the back glass; power folding mirrors; door cup LED lighting; Rostra OE-style seat heaters; anytime reverse/front camera mod; new head unit; TVD Red/Black TRD Pro letters for the bed sides, and Black for the tailgate; locking tailgate; window tinting; VLEDS for brake/tail/license/reverse lights; FireEye interior LEDs; hood or grill LED bar; A-pillar ditch lights; cat shields; and I'm sure there's more that I will see that I will consider. A heated steering wheel would be one of them. I had one in the Acura and never thought I would care, but it was very nice.

Definitely interested in tuning it. I had a DAP tune and DDI exhaust on my 2012 along with an aFE CAI and throttle body spacer, and it ran really well. Didn't care much for how rich the exhaust smell was after the exhaust change. I understand they run rich, and the OEM fuel rails aren't very efficient.
