I have a 2000 AC, 4WD, V8. I noticed that in some videos where they replace the starter on a 2UZFE, there is a pretty hefty ground directly to the block, below the intake manifold and right by the starter. Maybe this is just in the Land Cruiser 100 series?

In other videos, and on my truck, there is not a ground under the intake manifold by the starter. I only know of the starter ground that mounts to the back of the head on the bank 1 side.

Does anybody know why Toyota changed this across different vehicles with the same engine and what the advantages/disadvantages are?
