What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

The AT3's are now replaced by the AT4's on the 2021 Nightshade. The AT3's made it 75,000 miles and could have gone longer but I spend a lot of time off pavement and in the rain so it was time.

 

Been a minute since I’ve posted here. Went ahead and plasti dipped red Tundra tailgate letters. Went bronze to match wheels. Hope all forum members are doing well.

 

I can't lie, that was a very compelling video filled with actual measurements and facts. His argument about driving style being more meaningful than CV angle is a no brainer as well. I think I might be ordering some stock length bolts and getting some ground clearance back here in the near future.

 

Every bit of room helps, might as well space the bumper for extra clearance

 

Yea, for my situation it actually needed to be removed. The axle clearance was tight and even rubbing once we removed it no issues.

 

Thank for posting the video. After watching it, I removed the diff drop from our 4runner. Now I will order the factory bolts and do the same to the Tundra.

Nothing on the tundra but got the wiring finished on my k5 blazer and got the Holley terminator powered up. First time it’s had electricity running through it since I believe 2020. Fluids, plugs, test for fuel leaks, and see if it starts.

 

Lady hit me a few weeks ago, didn’t seem bad at the time but turns out it bent my frame 6mm. Insurance ended up totaling it. 2021 SR5 is a goner




Luckily, yesterday I was able to find myself signing on this beautiful 2020 TRD Pro with 20k fewer miles. What a truck, absolutely love it

About shit when I saw these pics. I picked up a 21 MGM at auction 8 months ago. Thought it was yours.

Mine was hit on the opposite side.

Presently still rebuilding it.

 

Got the 295s on. Now gotta find a weekend to reinstall everything else

 

Ha, though my SR5 was black. The new turd is MGM, loving the color

 

Spray painted the tow hooks Sunrise Red. Should be ready to throw them back onto the truck in about 2 days.

- wiped down with soap and water
- degreased using diluted Super Clean
- scuffed using a green Scotchbrite pad
- cleaned using diluted isopropyl alcohol
- primed with Rust-oleum Automotive Primer
- wet sanded the next day using 400 grit
- wiped down with water
- waited 48 hours to cure
- cleaned again using diluted isopropyl alcohol
- top coated with Rust-oleum Gloss Enamel (3 light coats followed by 2 medium coats and 1 touch up coat)
- waited 48 hours to cure

Not sure what part of OR you're in, but I would've gladly dropped mine off for you do knock out at the same time... I mean doin' (4) at once is really no different than doing (2), right???

 

I’m located in central Oregon (Bend area). Oh boy, you’re in luck, I only charge $1000 per tow hook!

Jokes aside, the hardest part was prepping the garage floor and covering the ladder before spray painting. That alone took me 3+ hours. Even then, the garage floor still ended up slightly red due to overspray.

 

Painting is always a freakin' mess, but seriously those came out really nice...

 

He still suffers from Tinnitus from driving past him one night.

 

Looking forward to hearing how they do. I’ve got 77k on my AT3’s and think I’ll run them through the summer (based on the tread left on them) and then replace just before this next winter
