I bought a mag mount. Problem was the under dash vinyl [a] provided no good anchor options, unbolting the part of the dash is a big task and [c] the double-sided-sticky pad option failed after one day.

Any options for mounting under the dash, into the vinyl in a way that lasts? Screws without anchors worked, but only for half a year.

How did you attach it?, what kind of screws did you use? Did you use anchors? Did you have to take the console apart? I have the exact same truck just 2016. And want to add a armotechusa.shop magnet as well but don’t want put a bunch of holes in my console want to do it right the first time.

That is a magnet and the ones I used from two different companies have weak magnets and the rubber cover over the magnet slides off the magnet while you drive. Not my choice, I have one under my desk at home and I hate it

I have been using this Alien Gear Shape Shifter setup for 5+ years. Hostlers can be swapped on the paddle to fit more than one firearm. My EDC is a S&W Shield or a G19, depending on what I am wearing or where I am going. Perfect placement for a right-hander.

Drilling holes in the side of the console, what is behind there? Does it grab? What kind of screws did you use?
