The dealer I will purchase it from was speaking to me concerning a bearing failure in the 2022 models. I was wondering if anyone knew if the bearing issue was resolved in the 2023 and 2024 models.

    Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)!

Most likely. I hear of a LOT fewer issues with the 24's, and the 23's had less than the 22's.

I should note I wasn't being snarky when I suggested the ext warranty.
I bought one for my 2005 and 2014 when new.
The only thing is I never had to use them.

With the quirks of the Gen 3s, which seem to be fewer every year, I'd buy one if I bought new.
    Good luck..

Given the cost, and complexity of new trucks an extended warranty is just about mandatory on any truck for sale today. None of them, including the new Tundra, are likely to live up to the long term reliability of a 2nd Gen Tundra. Plan accordingly if you plan to keep any truck past the factory warranty period.

Thanks everyone for this feedback. I will purchase the extended warranty. I'll send pics once I make the purchase. It will have the 1794 or the premium package.
