Has anyone bought the Truxedo side bars for the Elevate FS bed crossbar system?

Hi everyone! I recently purchased and installed the Truxedo Elevate FS bars on my '23 Tundra. I love the bars, but would like very much to add the additional crossbars (part number 1118729) that connect the two rails that make up the Elevate FS rack. They retail at 249.00, but I am unsure if that is one bar or both bars. So that is my question. Is that price for only one side of the truck, or is it 2 bars, one for each side of the truck. Thanks in advance!

I have the Elevate rack as well and have looked at other t-slot bars that will definitely not look the same as the rest of the rack, but allow the same attachments. I looked at Amazon and some other sites for the tracks. The key is finding ones that accommodate the same style t-slot bolts.

I eventually found out that thy do indeed comes in pairs and bought them from Rack Warehouse. Two good things about Rack Warehouse...... at least in North Carolina, they do not charge sales tax and they provide free shipping. I paid full retail of $249.00, but that is the exact total that it actually cost me. Another very pleasant experience with them is that I ordered a Thule 24" ski mount (which was on sale from $249.00 down to $154.00!). That was a completely separate order, but someone from Rack Warehouse actually called me to tell me that the Thule ski rack attachment did not fit on the Elevate FS rack. I was going to mount the Thule ski rack attachment onto my Prinsu roof rack, so it would not have mucb mattered, but that someone was thoughtful enough to look at two separate order made about a day apart, then actually call me to let me know about incompatible parts... that speaks volumes about their customer service! This kind of turned into a "Yay, Rack Warehouse!" post, but they certainly earned it in my book.

Bottom line though..... the side bars (part # 1118729) does indeed come in pairs and is made for the Elevate FS rack. I can, even though reluctantly, shell out $250.00 for both the bars. It just wasn't going to happen if it was only one bar. The bars should be in the 40 - 50 dollar range, as they are nothing more than a 41 inch long piece of extruded aluminum, but if you wanna play, you gotta pay.

I purchased the Elevate TS (T-rails) and the Truxedo X15… looks very clean and low profile.
I also purchased 4 additional bed rail clamps so I have 5 per side… kayaks in the wind in a truck ladder rack are high load.

I loved my TracRac system but without bed stake pockets in the Tundra, it won’t attach.

I've already got a RetraxPro XR bed cover, which I LOVE! But you said something about adding even more side bars to the Elevate bars? Would you mind showing a picture of that along with a link to purchase those additional bars? I was unaware that it is possible to add more side rails to the Elevate rack except for the one rail per side option that I just purchased. Thanks!

I just installed the Elevate tracks on my 22 with the factory bed cover. Had to remove the factory tracks that were inside the bed to get the clamps to work, but I didn't use them anyway. I am liking the idea of adding extra clamps as I am afraid three per side is not enough with two kayaks on the racks. Doing a short trip this weekend with the boats, so we will see.

    You're talking about these?

    upload_2024-5-2_15-20-51.png

I've had my Elevate racks for over a year and just recently found out (from another member here) that these even exist!!

    They come in 3 lengths; 32", 41", & 50"

Not sure yet if I'm gonna' get 'em since I take my racks off to go through the car wash, but I'm thinking about it.

    Really like my Elevate racks.

Yes. Since I made that post, I found out that they do come in a pair. They're on my truck right now. I like them. They look to add rigidity to the rack and they also offer a place to mount things such as traction boards or rotopax. I'm actually trying to find a molle panel to place on them, but the panels I have found all seem to require 4 corners to be secured.

I installed the Elevate bars onto the RetraxPro XR bed cover. I LOVE the pair together! The bars are a pain in the rear to change the elevation of them, but I have them at the same height as my Prinsu roof rack. I build decks for a living, so having the ability to haul 16 foot pieces of lumber even though I have just a 5.5 foot bed is awesome! I certainly use them!

Nice!! You mentioned attaching Rotopax to them, I can’t seem to find out how that can be done? Do you know how?

I’m wondering if these are the only option for the elevate system or maybe something else would work better.
    Thanks!

Hey! Sorry about the year long delay. I just saw this! I installed the middle size (standard). A year later and they still look great and I still love the Elevate FS bars. The only complaint is that it is NOT easy to change the elevation. Mine are set to be even with the Prinsu roof rack, which is where I always need them anyway. I build decks for a living, and I have hauled quite a bit of lumber with these. Very sturdy and did not have any trouble with perhaps 200 lbs of 16 foot lumber strapped to them.

Sorry about the long delay. I just saw this! Answering your question though..... these are the middle size (standard). In my opinion, these are the best option for most applications. Not so long as to span the whole bed length, but still long enough to space out the Elevate bars.
