I’m in southern Idaho, 3500ft and up, plenty windy, and I tow an RV.
My 2018 CM Limited TRD has 44k and is in perfect condition and is paid off.. I have zero desire to buy a new $75,000+ turbo truck of any kind so I’m thinking about adding a supercharger to bring back sea level power (and then some).
What are the pro’s and con’s?
Any real reason not to install one?
Who has a good history of selling/installing them? (In/around Boise, Salt Lake, etc)

First question would be "Why do you want more power?"

Is the truck struggling with the current setup? If your RV is too big for the truck a supercharger isn't the answer. If you are trying to tow at 80 MPH, again, a supercharger isn't the answer.

Editing to clarify; I am in no way against putting a SC on a Tundra. Big fan of it actually, so long as it's in perspective of the purpose. You know.... to have more fun with it! :burnrubber:

I can tell you why I won't do it (other than the obvious up front expense). I would dread the supreme unleaded fuel costs and I live where it's "cheap"

    Tastefully enhanced...
Just know, once you're supercharged, you'll never own another v8 without one...it makes the truck 200% better...same fuel consumption once you're done tickling the gas pedal for smiles...takes about a year I'd say before that happens...better than a new truck!!

I think you should consider 5.29 gears instead.

Regular is 3.55 and premium is 3.83 where I live, Chevron. I wouldn't call that a dreaded price difference. That's a $5-6 difference for every 20g fill up. Can't even buy a McDonald's Happy meal for $5-6 anymore.
For me upfront expense was cheaper than what I have seen others pay. SC was $5300+T. HPT $580. Refurbished windows 10 laptop $230. Tune $200 I decided to buy intake, injector and cross over pipe gaskets, around $70. Some distilled water and Water Wetter. So I am at around $6900+/-. Considering the cheapest 1900 I saw was around $7300, I say I am ahead.
Then come the fun factor. You cant put a price on fun.
And let's not forget that a new tundra is waaayyy over priced.

Yup I get all that and yes you gotta steal. That being said, my girl is thirsty and I commute 40 min one way

They are all thirsty. I just saying a few more bucks isn't going to break a bank account in the end. If it does, that person has way bigger problems. I use to commute 40-45 min in the morning and 1 to 1 1/2 in the afternoon. So I pretty much filled up 1 once a week. So pretty much an extra $25 a month with premium. I now work 2.7 miles away, so it's a huge difference overall now. But I did just put my SC on so never had to commute like before with it.

Nah, some aren't very thirsty when they're OEM height or leveled with stock size rubber.

If I ever get a little beater car to commute in, the SC is definitely an option.

That's always an opinion. I had a 07 Trailblazer SS, 4:10 gears on a 4spd. I bought a beater civic. After awhile I just couldn't leave the TBSS at home. Sold the beater. Couldn't do with out the :burnrubber:

    Nitrogen filled tires!
Do it. Best mod for the buck you can have. Do the SC first and then if you want more torque get gears. Can't speak for the v8 install but I did a self install on my V6 Tacoma and it simply kicks ass. Install is easy if you have tools and time. BTW - the Magnuson Tune sucks so look at YotaWerx (which I have on my SC Taco) or OTT - both are light years ahead of the stock SC tune from the manufacturer.
