    Well took apart my dash today, and this forum was the best help! Thanks to all of you who did it prior and posted pics. While putting it all back I had a wire connection behind my lowere panel at the 2 12v power plugs.(cigarette socket) and the USB. Had one left that I could not find a home for and don't remember unplugging it. See pic. My guess is it's for the blank spot in the panel.

    I think you're on the right track, now that you mentioned it. Something to do with the anti-theft system.
