I have a 2023 1794 hybrid. When I get in my truck (and close the door), you basically have to press the start button twice for it to start. Press it once and the seat/steering wheel moves into position then you have to press it again to start the engine. If the door is open, it will start when you press it the first time.

I do not have to do that in mine. Always starts after one press.

A few... Definitely more than 2
My mom's 08 prius will go to ACC with one press, OR, if you hold the brake pedal the same single press will start it. That is my only experience with push to start do these trucks do the same?

Truck won't start without pressing brake. If you press without it turns on acc and press again and everything is on but the engine. I'm not sure how the hybrid works.

Mine starts on the first press. The hybrid often just kicks on the electric motor at first so it seems like it's not running. My wife was pushing the button twice thinking it wouldn't start on the first press.

Rarely do have to push twice . I press brake push and hold start button until it comes alive the release button , but usually hold brake because I am going to put into gear when it allows

Single push with foot on the brake works every time for me as well

Does the dash light up with 1 push? If so, try putting it in gear and see if the truck with move. Back when I worked at a customizing shop, i put a remote start on a Prius. It was weird because the Prius can drive on electric only , under light pedal pressure and low speed. But if you press the pedal more, the ICE would turn on and take over. It also had an electric motor to operate the AC , because it would get cold even without the ICE running but the RS on.

sometimes you may not know the truck is on, sometimes it will go straight into electric mode especially after a longer drive. You can tell if the dash says READY then you can drive. I have to press the button twice sometimes but may not have the door closed or the brake pedal pressed down on the first press.

Mine does that as well. I did notice that if I put my seat belt on before starting the truck it will start on 1push of the button. Weird quirk that is annoying.
