I don’t believe that’s public knowledge. I worked for BNSF for years and don’t know of a way to track a car outside of having a login to somewhere.

That’s not a function you’re going to have the general public able to do.

Toyota might be able to get updates, BNSF employees with the right command line can do it but that’s like part of their job. I can usually find equipment by car/locomotive letter and number but it’s sensitive info and I will not be doing that.

If memory serves UP services the Toyota plant where the Tundra is produced not BNSF so finding a specific car from a vehicle train originated on UP and then sent to interchange with BNSF might take quite awhile to get classified onto another train leaving a classification yard.

Your car is probably sitting in a yard track somewhere, and might be there for quite awhile.

Last week I saw a vehicle train that originated out of Tacoma, WA; it was full of Toyota consigned vehicles. Looked like Prius’ and SUV’s of some description. Not sure if the 5th Gen 4Runner is still in production, could have been those. The silhouette looked more like the new Land Cruiser or GX550 though.

I would guess none of them have made it to offload to the “port” where installed options are added and they get loaded on trucks. Probably a good 4-6 weeks out from dealer lots.

while in tracking status, dealerdaily will give you location station while on a rail transport. but shorter the distance the least likely you will be able to see a status.

let me see if i can find my old status screenshot on my 2018 tundra.

edit: mind you 99% of the dealers will NOT let you see this status screen much less let you see any screen in dealerdaily above a salesperson access screen.

    these are manager screens.
