Im looking for my first Sequoia, like 08-12, and am planning on facelifting for sure. Option A is to just do facelift to 19+ trd pro. Option B is to go Sequndra.

However, im weighing my investment because my vehicle purchase options are all around 160-180k on clock (budget all in -parts, maint, swaps $20k) will be limited or platinum, and 4x4.

There is a guy on CL currently selling a rwd Sequndra swap for $19.9k with 130 or 150k on clock. There was the 08 Sequndra swap white one on BaT that had sold for $31k with around 180k at time of sale.

So im curious if a sequoia popped up for private sale with 200k+ on clock but had good parts, good maintenance, and a clean sequndra swap -would people want it? Would it have more value than a clean stock one?

--i know theres going be the "build what you want and drive it, blah blah blah" comments. I do do that but within reason. Im not throwing $40k into a vehicle thats worth $5k just because its k3wl

    IMO, not worth it.

Your target sale market post facelift is miniscule.
Many will worry about quality of work or potential issues down the road. I would.
There is no functional value and only added confusion for later owners and even yourself if you keep it.

Don't get me wrong, the 2014+ update to the Tundra made them look way better. But I would never but someone else's modded vehicle.

Like you said, it's your money and you can do what you want. Follow your dreams, but don't fall into a money black hole.

Good info. I do think its a niche thing i guess it would depend for me how long i planned on keeping the vehicle too. Im more comfortable investing into a vehicle if im going to drive it into the ground
