Does "Not a GM" constitutes a feature?

To each their own, he liked the GM enough to buy it 3 years ago.

I personally bought a 2021 F150 over the Tundra over the summer. It had more features that I preferred.

A $10K cost just seems like a steep jump, especially if what you have is that new and paid for.

The Tundra would have to offer something that appealed to me personally...

I would buy a F150 over Tundra today, too. I was going to buy an Explorer MAX for wife over gen2 Sequoia the lazy dealer was pushing for. I'm not a beta tester, gimme your old trusty V8 or go home.

I meant to say "Expedition MAX". Yeah, more or less the same. 4HI Auto in Ford is a bonus that new Sequoia does not have.

To the OP, why is this even being discussed ? I'd be all over the Tundra in a heartbeat.

I never buy them. Except for the VW I bought for my wife once. They did not honor it when repairs were needed. I never picked the car up from the service appt. after they told me they wouldn’t fix it under the extended bumper to bumper warranty I bought. Traded it in sight unseen to another dealer and had them go get it. I wouldn’t buy one for a Toyota historically. I would buy one for a 3rd Gen for sure. 100%. New model, known issues that are $$$. I did not even entertain the need for one for my 2019.

So I went and tried getting the truck last night but they wouldn’t take off LoJack which is something I didn’t want. I left the dealership after they tried bringing out more managers to get me to buy the truck. I might go back if they are willing to remove it or omit the price of it but for now I am chilling out and shopping around. I really want the nightshade though so I’m a little bummed at the moment. I want at least a 2018 so I get the safety sense features.

2020 and up also gets you bigger screen, apple car play, push button start with smart key for doors, and shark fin instead of antenna. What’s wrong with LoJack being in it? Obviously a new car you get what you want but a used car sometimes there are compromises, if it’s the year, package, right miles, and no damage you’ll end up kicking yourself if you pass on it.

Wont take the LoJack off of a truck you are buying from them? Are they doing the financing?

It’s one of those things they add on to make more money off of you. It raises the price of the truck $1500 which is more than the price of just adding it later. I didn’t want to pay for it but they are begging me to come back tomorrow. We will see, and yes I will be kicking myself if it passes me by but also if that is the case then it wasn’t meant to be and I am ok with that.

Yeah there is no way I would finance another $1500 to have LoJack in the car that I bought. I would negotiate down from that. Tell them to hide the cost in the trade and/or the asking price. Or at least split the difference.

Oh I thought the previous owner had it in there already. Didn’t realize that the dealer was adding it to make more money off you. That seems a little shady to add on a used car

What is the point of LoJack on a newer truck. The Toyota App can tell you where your truck is at all times

Damn that makes me even more hesitant about it. If they won’t remove it I would say it’s no go knowing that.

So they removed LoJack and I am the proud owner of a new (to me) tundra! Happy to join you guys! I can’t wait to get tips and tricks from this site, you guys are amazing!

I got a 7 year 100k powertrain warranty complimentary from the dealer. I also bought a prepaid maintenance plan for 7 years 75k miles.

Thank you everyone for your support and advice.

Thank you @KNABORES! It was a super long day at the dealership! I was thinking it’s leveled too but I wasn’t sure.

I bought a 22 Silverado and traded it 6 months later for a Tundra. I would have traded it sooner but during that time Tundras were hard to get. I had so many issues with that Silverado including Brakes not working, transmission, eletronics ETC. Never have I spent so much time at a dealership.
