Have a 2007 Tundra that has multiple warning lights (ABS, anti-skid, check engine and more) coming on periodically, runs EXTREMELY rough (also periodically). Has a 2017 motor which was installed in last few months. The following has been done: Knock sensors and wiring harness have been replaced; the specific things that the warning lights are for have been checked and nothing is bad; ground post cleaned/reattached; ground wire from frame to motor cleaned/reattached; two different very reputable mechanics have checked it over thoroughly, spending countless hours and have not been able to find out what's going on. I use this truck for farm and cannot afford another one (long story, but multiple equipment problems/break-downs over past year+, financial difficulties as a result). Need to haul cows to market and afraid to try with the truck in this condition. Appreciate any info you might have.

Why was engine replaced? Is it same engine as was in previously? Who did the engine swap? How long did it run
well after the swap or did it ever run well after the swap?
Trade in at dealer for a good used truck and cut your losses?

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
If its is running Extremely rough - it will have set CELs - what are they? Those are the clues to follow.

What codes is it throwing. I"m assuing in all this troubleshooting that you connected a code reader to the ecu.

Oh boy… 2007-2017 is a ten year gap and the extreme of the range of “interchangeable” parts.

We need more details about how the engine swap was done. Is it running all the 2007 wiring and Engine ECU? If it’s a mix of 2017 and 2007 electrical this could turn into a big headache fast.

Find someone with Toyota Techstream or a really good scanner, read all the codes and post them.
