    I have a 2014 1794

So I broke my passenger mirror replacement is 1000+
All functions of my mirror are still good but I broke the housing

Does anyone know if I can get away with a Sr or sr5 side mirror take the glass out and swap it with mine.

I don't care about the power fold but want to retain all the other features
    Power adjustable
    Auto dim
    Blind spot monitoring
    Indicator lights.

After I broke mine the mirror was hanging out by the wiring harness I pushed the mirror back on and everything was good to go except my mirror housing is broke.

Yes it's doable and now swapped and fixed.
I got some sr5 mirrors off marketplace

Swapped the back black cap with my chrome cap
But unfortunately I had to swap the wiring harnesses from my mirror to the sr5 mirror (I was hoping this wasn't going to be the case but it was.
Then I took my glass and popped it into the sr5 mirror as all the "tech" is in the mirror.
Trying not to break the glass is the hardest and potentially the most expensive part.
If you break it u might as well have bought the whole mirror assembly
in the end this cost me 150$ for a left and right sr5 mirror then my time in swapping the guts
Vs buying a new mirror assembly for almost 900$cad

    Good luck.

It's the tech in the glass
Blinker, heated, auto dim, blind spot monitoring that's why I wanted to Frankenstein a sr5 mirror. I did I'm Happy with the result.
