    Hi,

My truck has 60,000 KM . Toyota wants to do differencial service, transfer case 4x4 service. They want $550.00 . And a brake service. I did brake service once already. They charge approximately $250.00 for this.

I found a smaller independent garage that is a Toyota shop. They said they will do the diff service for $200.00. And brake service for $100.00. I will probably take it there.

Can I just keep the records for warranty purposes? I am not sure if the dealership would like it, but I don’t want to pay their prices. Will this affect my warranty? By not getting the service performed at the dealership?

You may service your vehicle where you wish for general services and just keep records/receipts in case you need to show that general upkeep has been maintained.
