I guess I need opinions.... everthing I research is older post etc.
I want carplay BAD and even Alpine units have issues that I'm reading. I'm cheap and spending $600 isn't bad, but $1200 on something that won't last, nope. I have JBL in my 2018 Limited, which seems to be an issue also. Any thoughts?? Thx in advance.

Dasaita is like 50/50 with people. I have it, had it for 2 years now. i have not had any issues with it. But i dont have JBL, so i cant tell u anything on that end.

I have a 2014 non-JBL and I put in the Dasaita Vivid11 10.2” head unit a couple months ago. I was in the same situation where I really wanted CarPlay and a few other features but not looking to spend a ton.

Overall, I really like the upgrade and would do it again. The unit sometimes gets stuck on loading screens but no real complaints otherwise. I still haven’t put the mic up in the factory mic location and my wife says the audio on her end is terrible when I just hold the mic near me but maybe it will be better once I put it up.

The head unit looks awesome and makes the interior look way better. CarPlay is a game changer and the backup camera looks a lot nicer on that screen. Sound quality is much improved for me as well, with the right settings/EQ.

Shipping time was reasonable for me and install was pretty straightforward. Good luck!

After lots of reading on this forum, I have questions regarding the head unit.
    1. Do I need 8G RAM 256G ROM, current price on Amazon is $648
    2. Or, 6GB and 64GB ROM, at $576
    3. The only Amazon plans I see are below:
    4. I have JBL.... what the hell do I need to hook it up?
    5. Any discounts??? Seems like the longer I wait, the price keeps going up!!

I was looking on Crutchfield.... I'm soooo frustrated, needing $300 worth of cables and crap.

Could someone send me a link with a Dasaita 10" screen G12 (I guess) in a tundra, THAT WORKS!!!

I just installed the Dasaita G12 in my 2014 Platihum (w/JBL) but i also installed an amp and new speakers. You might be able to get away with bypassinng the amp with connectors to just power the speakers from the HU. I’d also replace the speakers b/c the JBL speakers are 2 ohm…

Unfortunately with the jbl you’re going to have to buy all the “extra” stuff to hook it up. I tried to use stock hu and put in a system behind it but it was a pain and ultimately replaced the head unit and all was well in the universe again. I know some will disagree but it’s basically leave it alone and deal with it or remove it all and upgrade hu, amp, speakers etc.
The jbl is crap and they charge extra for it.
You don’t need the high end of everything. However, I would say with a new head unit and amplifier with dsp or external dsp a good tune with the stock speakers will make a huge difference. I almost did this but when I had the truck apart I put the good stuff in and called a day.

If all you're looking for is carplay just buy a wireless carplay adapter that just plugs into your USB port.
