I just sent in the last payment on the truck. Almost at 90k miles and it is running very well. (Knocks on wood).

I have been extra careful riding around today - my last car was a 2014 4Runner that I had dialed in and completely the way that I wanted it. Two days after it was paid off, I was coming home from the airport and a guy who was late getting his kids back to his ex was texting, ran a red light and broadsided me going about 55 mph. Totaled the 4 runner and that’s what got me into the tundra. I am planning on keeping this one for a long time so hopefully I can stay away from something like that happening again!!!! Feels good to not have a car payment

Congrats. Now you can use that monthly payment money on mods/upgrades.

I actually think I am good on mods. Would love to have the bbs wheels like I had on the 4Runner but they’re too damned expensive anymore. I am happy with what I have honestly. I am sure there will be little things here and there, but a supercharger is NOT in the cards!!!

Congrats on paying off your truck.
I paid off my 2014 in 2018, so nice not having a vehicle payment.
Plan to keep it until it quits.
It will take me that long to favor and trust the Gen 3s...:eek2::cool:

Next month, like it or not, truck will be paid off, too.
Now just gotta worry about wife's new ride, and the house (though, to be fair, I worked from 30 years down to 20, then double payment brought it down to 12 and change, so I am good....hehe)

Once the truck is paid off, it will feel much better.
Have a safe ride around, the 4R took a big hit but you are safe.

Congrats on a job well done. Now take 1/2 of whatever your payment was and put it into savings or your 401k. When you're old you'll be glad you did

Congrats OP, isn't it a great feeling to have that title in hand and not having to send 400.00 plus a month to a bank!?

Paid my 2020 off in 2022 and it feels great, my very first time keeping a vehicle long enough to even think about paying it off!!

Just paid mine off on the 11th. Was making extra payments for the last year or so. Wish i would have started that earlier, but oh well, its paid off now.

Hell, the bank even closed the account. Got nervous and thought they would sneak in a couple extra bucks after the payoff to find out the
    account is closed. LOL

Now to take that money and pay-off the fancy HVAC system we had to get this past Jan. Not fun in ohio during winter with no heat.

Congrats!! Ugh, the prices of boilers and furnaces has like doubled over the past few years, it's ridiculous!!! I am trying to bank money for that now, mine is 37 years old... fingers crossed it gets me through another couple years at least!!

We bought a new house last August and the HVAC system is in the attic, of all places. Supposedly that's not all that abnormal here in VA.

With that said, simply because it's easier, when/if we replace the system in the future, we'll likely put the new system in the basement, given it's completely unfinished...but yeah, quotes as of right NOW are like $18K at the *cheapest* for a brand new system. Given I paid $4K back in 2008 to replace everything but the ductwork in my house with a Carrier heat pump...a 5x increase in price seems crazy.

Just curious, when you say the HVAC system is in the attic, does that include the outdoor fan unit?
Down south most fan unit is outdoor and the furnace is either in the attic or sub-attic depending on the house built.
As for it being in the basement, my only concern is that heat should be fine, but cold AC would have a hard time as colder air would tank faster than it can rise, making the unit work double hard to get the air through the ducts.... But that is just me thinking and I could be completely wrong about it.
