    Greetings,
I purchased the platinum warranty with my new truck in 2019. Still have 2 years/25Kmiles.
Question: Have those of you with this warranty had any push back from the dealer shops about doing you own maintenance? I know the dealer provided powertrain warranty requires they do all the work but they underwrite it. The platinum plan is on my dollar.
    Regards,
    ebc

A lot of people do their own basic maintenance. I've personally never had a dealer question anything on any of the vehicles I've owned with the manufacturer extended warranties. I had a 4Runner years ago bought brand new and it spun a main bearing while I was starting it in the driveway at around 13k miles. Well under factory warranty, but Toyota examined it and didn't even question it and put a new short block in. They have to show that you did (Or didn't) do something that caused that particular failure for it not to be covered. Just keep track of your receipts for maintenance.
