New and looking

Hey all, new member here. Creeped a bit and posted a few times when I felt relevant.

I come from the diesel VW world and have owned all kinds of cool ones, like the rare v10 twin turbo diesel Touareg, and even some first gen diesel rabbits and diesel rabbit trucks. Downsized my collection to my manual 2015 TDI golf that I owned since new, and planned to ride out until the wheels fell off. Kid ran a stop sign and totaled the golf out in January, so I bought a $650 2000 Toyota echo to hold me over until I find the right replacement (and honestly having a lot of fun driving it).

Figured it was time to grow up and get in a truck. 3rd gen caught my eye initially, but the 2.5s are really winning me over (especially after test driving both). I’m in NC and keeping my eyes peeled for what I want. Hoping to get in a white crewmax, 4wd, limited/1794/platinum/trd pro at some point this year.
