Starting to see 3rd Gens out on every trip

Lots of 3rd Gens everywhere now. For a most of ‘22 and ‘23, it was rare to see another one. I am seeing them nearly every day now. Last night at Buc-ee’s, I saw 3 just getting fuel for my wife’s Subaru. Anyway, we be looking real sharp out there! The styling is so good, they just look better than anything right now with the exception of possibly the Sierra.

I find it interesting how polarizing the styling was to so many people. Seeing them in the “wild” they really shine. Kudos to the engineers who came up with this look, they really hit it out of the park.

 

I like them but still can’t get down with the taillights.

 

For some reason this truck just looks way better in person than pictures, much more than any other I have owned

maybe the lines are more visible or something

 

I will say I saw one on 37's a few days ago, and IMO it helps quite a bit.

I am seeing them every where and all the time. Feels like there are more Gen 3's than F150's running around!

 

I think the designers missed the mark on the front end and grill area. Too boxy and elongated, IMO. But I didn't buy mine for the looks.

 

The stash has to be color matched, otherwise it doesn’t work for me at all

 

Still no Mesquite around... I'm happy to be a unicorn!

I live next to Norco, "Horse Capital USA", and they don't let you in unless you have a full size truck.

I very compliments regularly. At least until I share what the rig cost.

Yup! 2 or 3 new owners a day on Reddit and now I’m seeing at least two or three a day on the road when out and about in W/WA. Welcome!!!

 

Yeah and it’s been real recent…they are suddenly all over my neighborhood here in Bham. I said something to my mechanic and he said folks wait a couple years till the kinks are ironed out

I think there is something to seeing what you just got or have been researching. But, yes, I am for sure seeing a lot more.

We did a road trip up north over the long weekend in February, and for about 20 minutes in LA traffic, there were 3 Lunar Rock 3rd Gens all together. I thought it was nuts. Wife thought I was nuts. I did like seeing what I look like with the air dam down.

Then yesterday I came out of a store and what was parked next to me? Another Lunar Rock Limited. This one had chrome and a shell with a rooftop tent. I took some satisfaction in seeing it.

I do think they look much better in person. When I was looking into trucks, the 3rd Gen was a "no" until I saw one at the marina. Then I thought it looked great.

 

What do you care what the some random dude sees? Doesn't affect you?

They are lenses,and it ties it all together nicely.
I absolutely love the look of these trucks.

 

I get compliments and "nice truck" often. In the parking lots, at the gas station, at the golf course. Other truck owners are liking the gen 3.

 

Seeing an uptick locally on roads in lower trim levels of late. Last service at my local dealer backs that up with multiples of most all high trims in stock except Pros but no SR5s or SRs on the lot.

 

You always notice vehicles like yours especially when still in the honeymoon period. They are starting to appear to me also but we are only 10-15% of the sales of any big 3 truck...fine by me but seeing a few more myself. I just bought the OEM tires off an SR5 2024 with the factory lift kit. Guy said he traded his 2022 due to unresolved hesitation issues...new one is fine...go figure

 

I was at the boat ramp yesterday , and the guy launching next to me, yells over, "Love that truck, looks so nice! Especially like that color" After I got into the truck to take off, I realized I should have told him, you think the outside is nice, they hit it out of the ballpark with the interior too!

I drove by 7 3rd gens today and no I didn't drive buy a Stealership...
Felt good seeing other 3rd Gens on the road.

 

I kinda liked the exclusivity of being one of only a few in town....it seems the word is out now! I see 2-3 a day now.

 

I too must admit, I felt the same about being a bit of a loner only seeing one or two a week. I'm really looking forward to seeing what people will do and hopefully some big lifts and sweet mods to there Rigs.
I haven't seen anything bigger than the factory 3" lift,but I'm sure this summer it'll turn around.

 

Pulled up to a stop light and there were 2 other LR gen 3s at the intersection. One lifted, one stock. Was pretty cool to see my truck before and after.

 

I like the pattern was the 'T' in logo sideways //cool tidbit.
