I just ordered a Cobra Mini 19 CB radio that I look forward to installing in my truck. I'm just not sure what antennas are good and compatible. I'm not interested in magnet mounts. I plan on using a hood channel mount like this:

Not looking for a super long whip, I'd say 4 feet max. Any CBers out there that can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I use a Firestik with good results.

It's in. Had to drill 2 more holes and now have 2 dead ones. I just put the screws in to fill them for now. Had to cut the OEM taillight opening to clear the S2s but no big deal.

Not done yet as I need to install the DVR for the camera and make the connection to my radio. The coax is run and all the lights work as they should.

4 feet from the top of the cab, nice. Just be careful at the Burger King drive-thru. I'm planning on 4 feet as well, but from the hood.

I don't do drive thrus much but it's pretty flexible. The Stryker was 5ft tall and I let that thing hit tree limbs and low hanging clearance bars lol
