Fuel Injector Refurbishing - Write This Guy's Information Down - Someday You'll Need It!

My other Toyota is a 2003 4.7L 4Runner, 232,000 miles. Three weeks ago, it coded a misfire in cylinder 6. After T/S, I concluded fuel injectors were the problem. I was almost ready to buy new Denso injectors at about $350 each, but decided to do some research. I found Injector Repair LLC located in upstate New York. I called and spoke with Jim, the owner, a friendly and chatty guy. I decided to go ahead and mail off my bad injectors and got them back yesterday, three weeks later. His cost is $15 per injector plus S&H.

Before, I was getting about 11 MPG. This morning, I hit the interstate and got 17 MPG and it was still climbing. The engine is running nice!

The refurbished injectors came back with new O-rings/seals (those alone cost $104 at the Colorado Springs Toyota Dealership). He determined that one injector was beyond help, but he had an extra Denso injector and threw that in for free.
