2016 Limited Tundra

I just bought a 2016 Limited Tundra & found an owner's guide for the Toyota VIP remote starter with the owner's manual etc. I tried to start the truck as per instructions but nothing happens. The key fob locks/unlocks the doors like it should, lights flash & beeps. Did all these trucks come with VIP& if not how can I tell if mine has this or not? If it should have what could be the problem & how do I diagnose it?
