Hello, any recommendations on where to get an affordable replacement strut for my '21 Tundra tailgate? Local Toyota wants $$$ for parts and labor but I know it's a cheap and easy DIY fix. Just wondering if the cheap ones I see online are legit or if someone out there has a solid recommendation? Thank you.

Hmmm, interesting. Yes, it no longer opens softly. The replacement strut doesnt come with the bushing so I guess I need to take the strut off by itself to see if it still has any life left and if it does, then I'll assume it's that bushing? Thanks @Downytide for the detail!

Yes, mine suddenly stopped soft opening and I thought was the strut, swap strut only to find out its the bushing.
