Just wanted to see if anyone with a TRD Sport had an issue with a dealer installing the 3in TRD Lift. I have a Lunar Rock being built next week and the lift with 35x12.5s on the factory 20in wheels will be my plan. I understand an inch spacer might be needed. Anyone with a Sport and the factory TRD Lift that has comments or advice...That would be great!

Gives some nice turbo noises and easy to install. Nothing special but works.

Ayeee nice setup- my exact ride :)

Question on the suspension- what shocks/ springs and other stuff did they use to drop it an inch?
Any other under hood goodies diffrent?

sport trim is the best looking trim

I modeled my platinum after it, I do like my grill over the sport grill though

No mods yet. I've had it for a year and a half now and planning on doing a spacer lift in the front with 35s.

The factory springs on a sport are a single rate spring. While all the others are dual rate. Everything else is pretty much the same. That’s what causes the drop. And that’s why the TRD 3 inch lift is a direct fit. Even though the install contingencies are SPORT model. ‍♂️‍♂️

    Suspension newbie here...

Do single-rate springs change the loading and handeling charecteristics at all?

When it is time to replace them - what happens if they are replaced with "regular (non-offroad)" shocks/ springs?

Direct fit meaning just put the new springs/shocks from the kit in?

Lastly, would there be special alignment spces for a Sport in stock configuration?

    thanks!!

The single rate springs are only in the front. So not too sure about loading.

Not too sure about the rest of the questions. My TRD 3inch lift was a direct bolt on with no issues.

Pretty sure it only lowers the front about an inch. That is it.
