My main point was, if you’re getting a loan for the truck, and putting a bank lien on it, then you’ll need full coverage insurance. You will not be able to get full coverage on a salvage title.

Here in MA, once it's labelled salvage, it's scarlet lettered forever whether you fix it up or not. Can't get rid of it.

    Weight reduction, mostly rust.
Right, For us the title is a different color, I think ours are orange? Didn't used to be that way though, I bought a salvage titled square body when I was young and didn't realize it.
It was fine, a few oddities with it but overall a decent truck.

Yeah, my first car was bought at an insurance auction and it just had a jimmied steering column and stolen seats but was considered totaled. Got it for $1500 on bid when it was worth $4k. $500 in parts later I had it back to the way it was originally. Never had a salvage title once it was fixed.
