I'm having an issue with the wiper blades. A while back I went through a car wash with my 2011 crew cab. The dryer fans at the end lifted the wiper blades, and they cycled once or twice. After that, they rested too high, same as with others here on other threads, but not quite. I left it alone until today, when the same car wash removed both wiper blades, so it's time to do something (even if I never go to that wash again.) I have gone through that wash several times since the first experience, and the fans always lift the blade and they cycle once or twice.

What was odd was they would always start CW (drivers perspective) and go a few degrees, and then do the regular sweep. I just adjusted the resting position by repositioning the arms to be approximately normal, and they are still doing that initial down movement, but now it looks like the blade will get torn up quickly because they are travelling lower than they should.

It seems like there might be a switch to indicate lowest position, and that indicator is not working right. If that's the case, I still don't know why it would start in the downward direction for a few degrees before going up. But the question is, has anyone seen this and fixed it? What and where is it? Do I need a new wiper motor? Thanks.
