Inductive Loops and Aluminum Skids - Thoughts?

Just installed RCIs aluminum trans skid paired with my eBay aluminum engine skid and found myself sitting at a red light for more than a couple minutes really early this morning with not a vehicle in sight. Ended up creeping through the red lights. Happened more than once and led to curiosity..

What are your thoughts? Do you guys think the aluminum keeps from properly triggering the magnets?

 

Don't know about your Tundra, my Tundra is about 5600 pounds, quite a bit of it steel or iron. All of that should trigger the light. A few pounds of aluminum should not change anything.

Aluminum only blocks people from reading your thoughts. I hear it is great for baking too.

 

This is why we keep the eagle logo on the bottom. It gets into a staring contest with the inductive loop and scares it into turning the light green.
