DK's 1st Gen Build

Custom rear shock relocation done by B2P Motorsports in Fort Worth, TX. Billy is a phenomenal fabricator that runs a shop that's completely in its own lane. This shop builds pre runners and here in TX this is absolutely unheard of.

Setup:
Icon progressive AAL
ADS Racing Shocks 2.5 Triple Bypass Shocks
Removed spare tire cradle
Custom LSPV bracket
Trail Gear extended rear brake line

Impressions:
Truck definitely has a more body roll. It is much softer and compliant over washboards and the "jolting" often found in the rear end of these trucks is completely gone. I had some animosity with the AAL, but I think it pairs well for now and with the additional lift and travel it's almost perfectly spec'd for the shock package. Waiting to hear back from durobumps prior to deciding if I want to mount the ADS bump cans in the rear. Truck is incredibly smooth and it feels like I actually removed the sway bars (which I did). It's incredibly comfortable on the highway and even better at speed in the dirt. Haven't driven it through anything that's enough to upset it, but I'll get out to push the truck and get the bypasses tuned.

I like this a lot, I have been wanting to do a “mid-travel” on my truck. Any build plans or breakdown on this? I seen archive does a kit for mid travel but this looks cleaner and better. I’m out in CA so a trip to TX isn’t gonna work lol

 

I feel like I was pretty descriptive with the post, but in all honesty if you or your shop doesn’t know how to cycle shock and set it up properly then your probably better off doing the archive garage setup. This is essentially the same thing, but my fabricator said he’d rather build his own. This was also built specifically for the shocks I already had vs throwing in any 12” shock like archive states.
