So, It seems there is lots of bitching on this site now about the new tundras. From quality control, mechanical issues, to dealer problems.
Was it like this when the 2nd gen came out?
Did they have lots of issues/growing pains off the bat? Or is some of this exaggerated and these guys need to own an F-150 for awhile to see they have it pretty good? Haha. Kidding. But not really.

Or is it just like everything else where the internet is just more commonplace and has made it more accessible for people to voice their opinions/ concerns about something? Just curious. Lots of chat about this and that with the new rigs.

No. There was a batch of bad cams from a dropped pallet (what I heard) that caused some issues.

2007 5.7L trucks were cutting edge and made everyone else catch up.

My 2012 was a great truck, but I was abusing it and for the reason I had to move up a bit in truck capacity.

I hear you. Had to suck it up for 2 years and save up some money for the 1 ton.

Exactly where I’m at. I’m hoping it happens this summer cash wise rather organically or I’ll reach a point where I have no other choice and just take on a decent payment in order to do what I need to do.
