I've always driven TRD's but I went with the SR5 premium crewmax 6.5ft bed this time. I still want the look and some of the performance of the lifted truck. I don't often tow much more than my raft and trailer (A couple thousand pounds) but I am curious about what its done to driving/feel and gas mileage for any of you who've added it to a similar trim. Dealer quoted me around $5500 to install it, trying to look for comparable options or pros/cons.

Thanks! Sorry if this was discussed somewhere else but I haven't hunted that thread down yet.

Yep, LOVE my TRD 3". It is the smoothest, most comfortable riding lifted truck I've ever owned, even with Load E 35's. I've owned several Chevys and RAMs and this truck surpasses them easily.

Gas mileage went to shit, but I don't care.

Like mine a lot, factory installed.
Wouldn’t think it’d play nice with heavy accessories tho.

I had mine installed for around the 4k range. I love it. It works well and is still a great ride once aligned correctly and 35” tires. However I do wish they went with some better shocks like fox etc. it did stiffen up a tiny bit but it’s not bad by any means.

It is a bit expensive for what you have, but it is a great entry level lift done right for its purpose and it gives you the warranty. I've always gone all in with previous trucks and 6+" bracket lifts and almost other suspension to go with it. This lift is great for the person looking to run bigger tires, may go offroad but not getting into anything crazy and wants the reasonable height of a lifted truck. When the warranty is up I will certainly upgrade to fox or King external reservoirs to front and back but I am happy with it for its intended purpose as mentioned above.
