Hey. I have a non-hybrid. I tried to get my dealer to turn off the engine sound enhancement (engine noise through the speakers). They tell me my truck doesn't have it. They did go looking for it. Nothing in vehicle customizations to turn off. They say that's normally a hybrid thing. I hear a quiet growl. Guess that's actually the engine? I've never been in a hybrid Tundra to compare how it sounds. Yay or nay?

FYI I did look at the Carista. The only functionality it has that interests me is turning off the engine sound so not really worth it. That's the reason I asked the dealer.

So it's still true I don't have it then. I don't have the JBL. Learned something new. I thought all the Tundras had the ESE.

I figured I would like to have my ESE turned off when I had a chance, but I drove a loaner SR w/o the enhancement and actually found myself missing it.

Just had the dealer do the four recalls on the 1794 edition. Two were software updates and one was for oem tonneau covers. Had to wait six hours for them to complete them . The long one was the gas tank one. They had to drop the tank to do the temporary fix on the gas line.
I had them turn my fake V8 noise off. I don’t miss it at all. Peace. D
