So I'm slowly collecting parts for my lift, wheels and tires. I have a 5 inch zone lift kit coming in, 18 x 9 XD addict, and still deciding on What 35s to go with. Because of my work schedule I will have to get my wheels and tires mounted and balanced. I plan on transferring over my TPMS from my OEM wheels to the XD wheels. My question is, other than the TPMS light, will there be any ill effects of running my stock wheels without TPMS sensors for about a week or so?

I know how this forum loves pictures (because I do as well), for some that aren't familiar with the zone 5" kit and xd addict wheels, here they are for your viewing pleasure.

Zone 5" lift with nitro shocks and carrier bearing drop kit. Hit up josh from svcustoms for special forum member pricing.

    Wheels are XD798 (addict). 18x9 -12 offset.

No. Ran my winter tires and wheels last winter for 4 months. The tpms light was on the whole time.

And once wheels with TPMS is mounted, just hit the TPMS reset under the dash and all is good to go?

If they are the same tpms you pulled out of your factory wheels, then yes all is good. If they are new tpms sensors, then the ecu needs to be told what those codes are. This is the rabbit hole...don't get me started on this topic.

Thanks! It'll be the same TPMS that came with my factory wheels.
