2023 platinum multiple dtcs for radio failure

    So back up surround camera in reverse is glitchy. Then truck will not pair with phone. No radio. No microphone. So gps is gone too. Take it to dealer and they say “recommend radio replacement “
    4000 miles on it. Parts will take a month or so. $5000
    They found multi “ dcts for radio failure “
    Anyone else experience this?

    Oh wow that's a bummer. warranty I hope? Is $5000 retail to replace just the head unit?

    Yes under warranty but the wait for parts and downtime for truck…. Frustrating

    Toyota dealer acting as if this problem is common. Wondering if anyone else is dealing with this. Also happened after truck was taken in for recall on electronic programming updates. Fishy!

    Yep they should be stocking failure prone parts like head units

    My head unit seems to have problems also. Doesn’t connect to phones consistently, resets setting on its own things like that.

    I’m thinking the recall on updates maybe caused this. I will call Toyota dealer regarding the installed updates

    Toyota and dealers are not dealing with this head problem to my satisfaction
    I don’t know where to turn.

    I’m a snowbird and I’m leaving to go North this week. They said get a dealer up there to order the head. They could not get the part for a month. Toyota contacted them and they changed their story to ten days. Why couldn’t they have said that last week. Just a very frustrating situation
