Probably been beaten on before but I honestly dread taking a highway trip in any weather but clear...rain or snow or slush result in a warning that the dynamic cruise sensor is dirty and you should stop and clean it...even if cruise isn't on and ready...come on Toyota wtf...a simple 1 and done defeat once you have acknowledged the issue is all I ask...I don't need a reminder every 5 seconds lol...

over reach-because people are too stupid and lazy to pay attention to the task at hand...protecting the people from themselves...like when my sister forgets to tighten the gas cap on her 4runner and the check engine, abs, and brake lights all come on...that'll wake 'em up ha! The really weird part is I had a 2010 Toyota with dynamic cruise and never got that warning...progress my man progress...yeah

You can turn off adaptive cruise and the Pre Collision Sensor, and you won't get those warning messages when the sensors get slushed up.

    Apparently nobody reads manuals anymore.

Adaptive cruise can be turned off with a button on the right of steering wheel. PCS can be turned off in the gear menu in the MID settings.

I don’t know of an FMVSS std for radar cruise controls and sensors. My wife’s Volvo does not go bonkers with warnings when the sensors or radar is blocked. It’s more likely Toyota’s conservative approach to using the tech.

FYI, if you get the blocked sensor warnings, you can shut PCS off on the fly, and the warnings will stop. You don't have to pull over to do it.
