Took me a couple of years to get to it, but 'chrome delete' is finito.
Cleaner without the chrome, the way it should have been offered. I did this on the cheap, even the BBS Pro wheels were $1275 all in with new Falken tires on them. I drove 7 hours one way for them, but was worth the time.
Color matched TRD Sport grille/bulge from Toyota of Greenville, $486 shipped free.

No skins, shells or dip...one caveat, emblem overlays. Pulled the front and rear bumpers, etc. Parts sourced reasonably and replaced DIY. Headlamps are Auxito LED, fwiw, Toyota should be flogged for making such a simple bulb replacement task ridiculous.

    Setup:
    5.7 33k
    Factory TRD dual exhaust
    Westin boards.
    Bilstein 5100s
    Factory TRD skidplate
    BBS Pro wheels/Falken Wildpeaks
    Ride Rite rear airbags
    Hapijac camper mounts

Toyota of Greenville, SC. $486 w/ free shipping.

No on the 'covers' for the bumpers. Replaced the ends; they actually fit perfectly, worth just replacing them.

    T/y!
It really did transform an otherwise plain jane SR5 into a bitchin' ride. Lovin' the voodoo!
Have never even seen a base voodoo SR5 anywhere, especially with the bench seat. I'm thinking the Phx, AZ gal that owned this originally special ordered the color, exhaust etc.

You had a good looking truck to start with. Now you have a great looking truck! Of course, this is my opinion... But I like it!

Sorry, I missed something. I'm starting my Chrome delete and need to do my front and rear bumpers. Were those painted? If so, how? If not, what was used to blacken? Thanks.

Looks great, where did you source the front and rear bumpers? My rear chrome bumper has a rust spot and it would be great to get rid of that chrome.

I haven't either! I think it's very appropriate to say that you have a one of a kind VooDoo!

Looks awesome man, I recently switched out my color matched rear bumper covers to the flat back. I have the eccological covers on the front but I think I might just switch them out completely because they still show some chrome. Where did you get your front bumper end covers from?

Sorry about the lapse here, calving time on our humble ranch.
I grabbed the bumper ends, front and rear, off of Ebay. Fronts are rigid plastic, fit and finish are actually excellent. I was initially concerned as the originals are metal, but these extensions are very rigid after installation. They will be fine.
Rear ends are metal, powder coated. Fit and finish are very good. Take your time removing the top pad, put the squeeze on the retainer tabs one by one and the pad will pop off and then reinstall nicely. Bar is really heavy with integrated hitch, get some help to remove and install!

I just had the rear bumper camper mount bolts powder-coated at our local shop, will install them and it should complete the blackout project.

I'm a former body man and shop owner, specialized in Toyota, Nissan, Honda. Couldn't bring myself to use the shellz, dip, etc. They are okay for what they are. The end product speaks for itself.

Yes, that rear bar with integrated hitch is a heavy mofo! My petite wife bitched & moaned about helping with that one; having a jack to support helps.
