Hello, needing to replace my door speakers in the front (6x9s) since my new JBL stage speakers are broken due to them not sitting flush enough and pushing my door panel into the center (tweeters) causing them to bend and break. Any suggestions on some good sounding speakers? at 150-250$ range. I will eventually be running a 10” sub soon, so bass is not a huge deal in the doors. Mainly wanting clear sound and good fit. (Yes i used the correct adapter/plates)
    Thanks!!

Get/make some adapter brackets and run a set of 6.5" components.
I haven't personally ran them, but a lot of people run Hertz speakers and seem to like them.

Tacos Tunes sells crappy electronics, but they make some nice speaker adapters.
Holes are cut to order depending on your choice of speaker..
I can't post a link here, but you can find them.

On my 2014 I had to trim the door panel a little..

    Here's my setup: JL Audio C2 6.5" Evolution Component $299 a pair

I replaced the front dash with a set of these Audiofrog. Perfect fit and this will give it a nice balance of sound. Do not put a speaker w/ tweeter setup up on the dash, this will
sound too rich and will over power the door speakers.

JL Audio RD400 (4 channel amp powers the speakers)

With this step up, it has enough power to turn the volume up without any distortion. A subwoofer is recommended for a complete sound. Good luck on your build.

This is my Kicker 10" Hideaway subwoofer underneath driver seat.
The truck sounds like a home theater system.
