RAS SD + rear sway bar

    Are these intended to be used in tandem or no? I suspect that aside from load handling/squat, RAS also cures a bit of body roll, which is overlapping functionality with the sway bar.
    Any insight here? Thanks!

    Seat covers, dash mat, ext. Trans. Cooler, sumo springs, oem pwr fld tow mirrors
    RAS will help tremendously with handling as well as load handling. Put your money on the HD RAS kit.

    I'm planning to replace my rear sway with the RAS once it arrives. Lot of similar benefits but I'm really looking forward to allowing the sides to articulate independently from each other. Not sure I'd run both, I feel like that would really stiffen the feel of the rear.

    I don’t see why you need both. The ras will be stiffening the outside spring rate in a turn

    Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies
    I run both and everything works well. The truck shocks people with how well it handles sweeping highway offramps. Sticks like glue and stays flat. Huge improvement in towing my 21 foot salt water boat.

    and get the HD version of RAS not the standard.

    The sway bar increases the spring rate of the outside tire in a turn, as does the RAS. But, the sway bar effectively decreases the spring rate of the inside tire as well and keeps that side of the suspension from unloading as much. Stiffer springs, RAS, airbags, etc - they can all increase spring rate in a turn, but they can’t kee the inside tire from unloading.

    The anti-sway bar itself is a simple torsion bar, so as it sees a force on one end, the other end sees an equal force. The outside tire suspension pushes down on one side of the bar, which transmits that same downward force via torsion to the inside tire, keeping it from unloading. So while they have overlapping functions, RAS and sway bars can’t completely fill the role of each other. Both are useful.
