IMG-5384.jpg Swapped back to the original grille on my 2018 Tundra. Previous grille was a TRD Pro which required the TSS sensor to be relocated. Occasionally I'll get a "clean sensor" message and my cruise will not work. I want to return the sensors location to the original position. Anyone know a p/n or where I can get the o.e.m. mount? Picture of current grille attached.

The mounting point for the sensor in that grill is the actual Toyota emblem. It attaches to the backside of that emblem if I recall correctly. What relocation bracket were you using with the trd pro grill?

The sensor is mounted behind and independant of the grille. Same as it was with the TRD grille. I know originally, the sensor was mounted behind the Toyota emblem. Just wondering what hardware/bracket I'll need to return the sensor to its original location.

Is the sensor currently mounted to the radiator support with an AJT relocation kit? For the current grille that you have on the truck, the sensor mounts to the back of the grill itself with a couple of screws and a type of spacer. Those are most likely what you are missing.

I'm wondering if the grille is missing the screw and the 2 spacers that the sensor uses. I'll try to get to mine in storage and snap a picture for him.

Pulling that grille outta my garage led to me disassembling it. My thoughts when I bought this spare grille were to go a slightly cheaper way by just adding the Pro insert and maybe vinyl wrapping the chrome. Maybe vinyl wrap isn't the way to go with this so with that said I have 2 questions...
    1) Where would be the best source for purchasing only the Pro insert? Not the garnish but the entire black middle insert that clips to the grille surround? I'm thinking I'd probably need to purchase the letters separate. I remember some time ago reaching out to Runnin4Tacos and they no longer carry it.
    2) with vinyl wrap not being a good idea, I think rattle canning would be a 2nd best alternative. I know the paint code but don't wanna pay $20-$50 for a pen size of touch up paint. Anyone have a good source for an affordable spraycan I can use that would match MGM?

Found this.. gonna try n see how good it matches

Thanks all for the information. Looks like I can just mount it behind the emblem using some common hardware. Now gotta go install the leveling kit....

It is not easy to spray the chromed plastic pieces. Hard to get it to adhere. I tried and I'm having chipping after 2 years.
But, I've been happy with the Duplicolor paint match series. Just be aware that your '18 has had paint fade so even though that can states it matches, I bet it will be darker then your truck.

Thanks for reply. Yeah I saw a few videos that plastic chrome isn't the easiest , takes a bit of prep. I'm going to give it a try and see how it matches up. This is just for the spare grille I got to experiment on so it's okay that it doesn't come out perfect. My actual grille is already factory matched. At least now I know how simple it is to separate the grille from the surround. Now just to find a decent priced grille. So far found one of OfferUp for $200

Thanks for posting the pics. The last picture is the 2 inserts that I wanted the OP to see.
