Does the TRD skid plate have a jack point? I know there is the “block” that goes into the cross member. Is this an intended jack point?

I would NOT recommend this. Frame rails or rear diff for me.

I believe that is a safe jack point. I used it as one to replace a bump stop (needed the LCA to droop to make space), with no issues.

I've also used it a few times, and in the TRD skidplate instructions, it does say it's okay, doesn't it? Pretty sure I recalled reading that.

Yea there's a beefy cross member right above it that the skid plate attached to right there

Please stop dissemination of incorrect information. Here's the manual indicating that point of the TRD Pro slid plate is a lifting point.

Don’t care… not putting strain on fasteners or a skid plate with a 6k#+ truck.
Great they engineered it to do so, I’m zipping it off there for any work. ..good to know for an emergency, I suppose. but even with the tire change out on the trail, I’d use the A arm

Mmm I'll agree that I only use it as a lifting point - Jack stands go under the frame, differential or LCAs. Would never go under the vehicle on just a jack!
